Project statement
“She” is a visual exploration of repetition, transformation, and presence. Each work begins with the same image—a found portrait of a woman—altered through embroidery, layering, and intervention. The embroidery shifts meaning by both concealing and revealing. By revisiting the same photograph in multiple ways, the series examines how meaning evolves through material, gesture, and context. It reflects on memory, visibility, and the quiet tension between what is seen and what remains hidden.
